MS Dhoni retirement: Saqlain Mushtaq claims BCCI did not treat MSD properly

39-year old MS Dhoni recently announced his retirement from international cricket on August 15 2020. The former Indian captain had won 3 major ICC trophies and brought innumerable glory to the nation. His retirement brought the country to a stop.
Since the day of his retirement, the fans have been regularly demanding a farewell match for the captain cool. The Pakistani cricketing legend Saqlain Mushtaq gave his voice to the fans’ plead and also had massive respect for Dhoni.
On his official YouTube channel, Mushtaq addressed that BCCI had not been fair to Dhoni and should have kept a farewell match before his retirement after all he has done. The Pakistani great also expressed his disappointment towards BCCI.
He quoted: “This is kind of a defeat of BCCI. They did not treat a big player like him in the right way. The retirement shouldn’t have happened like this.”
Mushtaq also kept in mind the fans’ opinion and also said: “This is coming straight from my heart and I believe millions of his fans feel the same way.” Mushtaq was absolutely on point and straight away quoted to BCCI that “I’m really sorry to BCCI that I’m saying this but they didn’t treat Dhoni well, I’m hurt.”

“Every cricketer has some dreams, I believe every cricketer wants to exit the game on a high as he has entered it. I’m sure Dhoni must’ve had this dream”, added the former Pakistan international.
Dhoni had a magical career of 16 years wherein he earned various milestones for the nation being a captain and player. Winning the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 ODI World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy still remain the best moments of his luminous career.
Leading India in 200 ODI, 60 Tests and 72 T20I matches; Dhoni was indeed one remarkable player who will now perform his magic behind the stumps in the IPL.
He also has the record of being captain for the most number of matches which amount to 332. The nation still weeps after his retirement and wishes he would get a proper farewell.
