Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift took the world by storm when they began dating last year. Ever since then, the couple has come a long way with their families being involved in the relationship. Travis Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce opened up about the relationship in a recent interview.
Donna Kelce is often spotted at the Chiefs games to support the youngest Kelce. Quite often she shares the suite with Taylor Swift, who is also present at most of his games. Donna conferred with Page Six at the premiere of “Grotesquerie,” which features the Kansas City Chiefs tight end. During the chat, she had all good things to say about Travis, adding that Swift bears the same traits. She found the relationship interesting as she wished the couple a good time.
Sure to say, Donna Kelce gave her seal of approval on the relationship. Further Donna Kelce expressed her pride about Travis’ involvement in the drama series. She mentioned how Kelce wanted to try his hand at acting. The conversation deviated to the ‘whirlwind’ of the year it had been for the Kelce family. Especially after Kelce and Swift started dating, much of the spotlight had been drawn to them, which changed a lot of things.
Although Swift did not attend the Chiefs game against the Atlanta Falcons, she was present at the games before that. In the season’s opener against the Baltimore Ravens, the pop singer was spotted with Donna and Ed Kelce. Her absence at the recent game sparked some controversy about the state of the couple’s relationship, especially after the fake breakup document that was recently circulated.
Taylor Swift skips Travis Kelce’s game
Travis Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs went head-to-head with the Atlanta Falcons at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Georgia. While Kelce always has his lady luck in the stands, this game was the first of the season where he didn’t. Taylor Swift was spotted with Gigi Hadid in New York City at the time of the match.
Although the Chiefs ended up winning, the fans noted the game not being their best. Additionally, this was the first time in eight years Travis Kelce has not scored a touchdown through the first three weeks of the season. Especially since Kelce became the NFL’s best-paid tight end, the viewers await his best form.
Taylor Swift has become an integral part of the NFL fandom. Her inclusion has brought in immense viewership as her cult fanbase started watching the games to catch on to the singer’s glimpse. She was even featured in the 2024 NFL hype video.
