What’s common between UFC Megastar Conor McGregor and UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya? Well, they both are managed by Paradigm Sports Management LLC. Paradigm Sports Management is one of the premier organizations for athlete management over the last decade of combat sports history. Their most recognized role is in their successful deal for their fighter McGregor to have him box an undefeated boxer, Floyd Mayweather, in one of a kind cross-promotional event back in 2017.
Now, Paradigm Sports recently signed a deal with the UFC on behalf of their middleweight champion Adesanya which is so lucrative that it will make Adesanya one of the top-paid athletes of the UFC. Adesanya is heading into UFC 271 fight week as he is defending his title for the fourth time in the main event against fellow contender and preceding middleweight champion Robert Whittaker in a rematch. Adesanya knocked Whittaker out last time when they met for the first time back in 2019.

McGregor took to Twitter to react to the announcement by Paradigm Sports that Adesanya’s new deal with the UFC has made him “one of the top paid athletes in the history of mixed martial arts.” He typed out “Can’t wait to see Izzy Style back in the Octagon this weekend! McGregor last fought at UFC 264 when he lost the fight due to Doctor Stoppage to Dustin Poirier after the first round due to a sudden fracture occurring in his shin bone. Since then, McGregor has nearly completed the physical recovery from the injury following surgery.
