Dr Disrespect Calls Out Esports Awards: In a recent YouTube video, a popular streamer has called out the event in 2021 that is a huge deal among streamers. he has added he doesn’t want to be a part of the event anymore as well.

Esports Awards 2021, the grand ceremony hosted to felicitate the prominent eSports personalities concluded a few days ago. This year, the event was arranged with great exuberance at Arlington, Texas. Fans nominated their favorite starts in thirty different categories and similarly, Dr Disrespect was nominated to win an Esports Award for Streamer of the Year.
The Esports Awards are live-streamed on Twitch, and because he is banned from the platform, they couldn’t show his face and had to mute his gameplay footage used in the nominees’ overview. This was the fact that made him upset.
Dr Disrespect apparently has some hard feelings over what he considers being snubbed back to back years by the Esports Awards, first by not even getting a nomination for streamer of the year after his Twitch ban in 2020, and this year not being shown or heard on camera once despite being a streamer of the year nominee.
So when a Champions Club member asked Dr Disrespect if he had gotten his Esports Award yet, he started his rant about the event and how he didn’t want to be its part anymore.
The controversy regarding the event stemmed from Twitch regulations regarding the live stream for the show. The streamer brought up two past incidents involving the event. Although he has not shared this information publicly, DrDisrespect had said in the past he knows why he was banned from Twitch, and that he would sue the company for damages.
Raging that the event was using him to boost their credibility despite refusing to show him on screen or even play his audio thanks to them streaming on Twitch, which doesn’t allow streamers to show Dr Disrespect, he demanded the Esports Awards stop even using his name to try and promote their event.
