The Toronto Blue Jays are heading towards the World Series. The Canadian outfit came from behind in Game 7 and stunned the Seattle Mariners to win Game 7 of the American League Championship Series (ALCS) with a score of 4-3. Following the game, pop star Drake dropped a 3-word reaction on social media.
The Blue Jays entered Game 7 following an emphatic 6-2 win in Game 6 to enforce Game 7. The American League East champions had lost the opening 2 games of the series but fought their way back into it with victories in Games 3, 4 and 6.
In the winner-takes-all game on Monday night in Rogers Centre, the Mariners stuck first in the 1st inning. A single from Josh Naylor put them on the board. The Blue Jays replied immediately in the bottom of the 1st through a single from Daulton Varsho.
The Mariners would then land two punches. A solo home run from Julio Rodriguez in the 3rd inning and a solo shot from Cal Raleigh in the 5th inning gave them a 3-1 lead. After this home run, it seemed destiny was finally in favor of the Mariners.

In their 48 years of existence, the Mariners had never made the World Series. In fact, they are the only current team in MLB that has never reached the Fall Classic.
The Blue Jays, who established themselves as the comeback kings this year, launched another epic comeback. With two runners on base in the 7th inning, George Springer stepped up to the plate.
The former Houston Astros star was 0-for-2 when he came up to bat against Eduard Bazardo. After letting go the first pitch, the 36-year-old connected on a 96 mph sinker and sent the ball into the left field for a 3-run blast.

Drake, who is a huge sports fan, would take to his Instagram account to celebrate this win. As his hometown team gets ready for a matchup against the Los Angeles Dodgers, the pop artist took a shot at their upcoming opponents.
He would take to his Instagram account and share an image of him from 2021 when he rented the Dodger Stadium for a date. He would include the song “OK Blue Jays” and dropped a 3-word reaction in the caption.

Drake was in high spirits on Monday as the Toronto Blue Jays came back from behind and clinched a historic win. The 5-time Grammy Awards winner would lose it and celebrated wildly with his friends as his team reached the World Series.

In a video shared by him on social media, he was seen going into a frenzy as Jeff Hoffman went up against Julio Rodriguez. After the pitcher struck out J-Rod, Drake and his friends would start screaming in joy as the Blue Jays knocked out the Mariners.

This was the Blue Jays’ first Game 7 since the 1985 ALCS against the Kansas City Royals. That year, they had lost that game and ended up losing the series after being 3-1. This time, they were on the right side of a Game 7 outcome.
Blue Jays reaching World Series has fans reigniting Drake’s beef with Kendrick Lamar
As the Toronto Blue Jays reached the World Series, the MLB fans have reignited a massive beef. Some fans have started referencing the upcoming Fall Classic as Drake vs. Kendrick Lamar World Series.

While Drake is a huge supporter of Toronto-based teams, Lamar is a fan of the Dodgers. Last year, the LA-born rapper released a Dodger-themed song on his album GNX. While there was no direct reference to the reigning champions, it was a nod to them.
On top of that, his differences with Drake are well documented. During the Super Bowl LIX half-time show this year, Lamar would sing “Not Like Us” a diss track on Drake and mentioned his name.
Lamar’s performance and mention of Drake would receive some flak on social media. With the Blue Jays and Dodgers now set to clash for the World Series championship, fans have reignited this beef between the two music artists.

Only time will tell who will come out victorious in this matchup. The Blue Jays are eyeing their first title since 1993 while the Dodgers are hoping to go back-to-back having defeated the New York Yankees in the 2024 World Series 4-1.
