Drake sends subliminal diss to LeBron James after posting hype posts of friends Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant

The Kendrick Lamar vs. Drake beef has the world sitting up and taking note. The songs released by each of them have had a profound impact on fans picking who to side with. Lamar’s songs seem to have led a vast majority of fans towards his direction. Including possibly a certain LeBron James. However, he was good friends with Drake. But the Canadian rapper seems to have taken his own stance with the Olympics around the corner.

With several national teams and players about to vie for medals in Paris, the Grammy Award-winning rapper decided to hype some of them. After all, he is a keen fan of the sport and is friends with many players. That said, he took to his official Instagram account to hype up some who are closest to him. Notably Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. He posted stories showing each of them in their respective national uniforms. That said, LeBron James was not part of those stories.

This means, that Drake might have officially taken the Los Angeles Lakers superstar off of his friends list. It is not surprising considering that the all-time leading scorer has been vibing to Lamar’s diss tracks aimed at Drake. Adding to that, he was seen at Kendrick Lamar‘s concert and often signs along whenever the song is played.

On the other hand, Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant have maintained their silence during the beef. That is, even though Lamar had included Curry in one of his diss tracks giving out a warning against Drake. Durant on the other hand was recently seen with the rapper, thereby confirming his ties. It seems switching sides has cost LeBron James this friendship.

Drake was family to LeBron James

That friendship was once seen as being so close that Drake was family. Spending time with the James’ at their residences in Cleveland and Los Angeles whenever he was in town, inviting LeBron James to his concerts, even having him and his son Bronny James as VIP guests to a few. Well, Drake even created a song for the Los Angeles Lakers superstar for his documentary.

The tide started changing when pedophile allegations against Drake started to pick up pace. Those were heightened when Lamar’s diss track, ‘Meet the Grahams’ had sly digs at that allegation. Up until the release of this track, James was repping both sides. But since then, it seems he has decided to abandon his friendship with the Canadian rapper and be loyal to Los Angeles.

This could probably be the reason why he declared his love for Lamar’s last diss track, ‘Not Like Us’. However, Curry was fed up with it constantly being played everywhere. Now with how Drake has shown through his activity, the friendship with the 4-time NBA Finals MVP could be officially over.
