The Basketball Team of the USA has given their verdict on their favorite artist to jam to during warm-ups. The extensively stretched rap music civil war got the fans curious about the team’s pick, expecting Kendrick Lamar as the obvious choice. Appallingly, Drake tops the list.

The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) recently posted on Instagram asking the players one artist they listen to the most during warm-ups and a good majority chose Drake. The post acted as fuel to the fire of the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef. The short clip had a great impact that shook both the realms of basketball and music simultaneously.

The FIBA post featured the behind-the-scenes of all the NBA superstars. To the viewers’ surprise, none chose Kendrick Lamar as their pick in any rank. Derick White revealed he listened to J. Cole while warming up calling him the GOAT. Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Jayson Tatum picked Drake. Anthony Edward put his brother ‘Bdifferent‘ on top of his list. Steph Curry chose Lecrae, a way different pick than most. Lastly, Jrue Holiday did not have a favorite artist, he mixed it up.

It had been some time since the Kendrick vs Drake had started but the beef didn’t seem to slow down. Rather it had dispersed taking the whole world to act on it.

Stephen Curry Sour About Playing Kendrick’s “Not Like Us”

When the off-court rivalry collides with the players on the court, the results are likely to be disastrous. The whole music selection seemed like it had hit a sour note when Steph Curry expressed his frustration during Team USA’s exhibition matches.

Apparently, he had a cutting reaction to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” being played on loop and joked, “It’s not the only song in America.” James LeBron shrugged the comment and said “I love it.” However, he did agree to a change of music.

Jermaine Dupri weighed in on the debate and diplomatically gave his statement. He reasoned why people reasoned with Drake but also said that he understood where Steph came from. “Too much of anything can be overwhelming,” he further elaborated.
