‘Nervous’ Draymond Green ALMOST added LeBron and Steph Curry to group chat during half-time against Serbia

NBA star Draymond Green has been making headlines lately for his recent comments about Team USA stars LeBron James and Stephen Curry on the Draymond Green Show. Team USA was trailing by 11 points at halftime against Team Serbia in the semifinals of the 2024 Paris Olympics, which made Green nervous.

Green claimed on the show that he was ‘very close’ to adding Curry and James to a ‘WhatsApp group chat’ at halftime against Team Serbia. However, Team USA saved the day for Green and their fans by producing a stunning comeback in the 4th quarter, with Curry scoring a game-high 36 points against Team Serbia.

It’s important to note that, Team USA has won four straight gold medals and is looking to achieve a historic 5th Gold medal at the Paris Olympics. However, this feat won’t be easy to achieve as they face the home side, Team France, in the Finals (gold medal match) at the decorated event. Draymond Green was one of the players as well as fans watching his nation beat Team Serbia in an epic semi-final encounter at the Paris Olympics. Green was visibly very active on the social media platform X as he posted an array of tweets on his official account. However, the tweet that caught the most attention was Green calling his nation, Team USA, to beat “Team France in France.”

He called his countrymates to claim the historic 5th Gold medal for their nation. On the other hand, Green was disappointed to not make the cut for the 2024 Olympics roster. However, he asserted that he was “ready to pack his bags” whenever his nation needed him.

Green, one of two American men to compete in the last two Olympics alongside Kevin Durant, was left out of the pool selected by national team managing director Grant Hill. Green had said he was “very grateful” to USA Basketball for the opportunity to compete in two Olympics. Dray will be rooting for his nation as it now remains to be seen how Team USA will perform in the Finals against Team France at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
