“He is a Black man…” Draymond Green calls out Anthony Davis for dissing Darvin Ham after Lakers collapse against Nuggets
The Lakers are on the verge of getting swept by the Nuggets in the first round of playoffs.
Draymond Green was disappointed by Anthony Davis throwing Darvin Ham under the bus.
Ever since the playoffs started, there has been a lot of controversy around the Los Angeles Lakers and their head coach Darvin Ham. After losing two consecutive games against the Denver Nuggets, Lakers forward Anthony Davis called out Ham’s coaching publicly, which triggered many reactions. Now, Draymond Green has given his two cents on the topic, as the forward is unhappy with Davis.
The Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green was clearly not happy with Anthony Davis blaming the losses on Darvin Ham. During the recent episode of the ‘Draymond Green Show’, the host revealed that he found Davis’ statement disrespectful, considering Ham is a former player and a fellow Black man.
Number one, Darvin Ham was a player, Darvin Ham is a Black man and just to throw him under the bus like that I didn’t like that… I didn’t respect it.

Green’s take certainly came as a surprise, as most members of the NBA community are unhappy with Ham’s coaching. The Los Angeles Lakers start on a high note during every game but lose control in the closing minutes. All three games in the series so far have shown the pure talent the Lakers have, but the team needs to work on their strategy.
HC Ham himself was one of the few people who was on the same page as Green, as he ‘agreed to disagree’ with Davis. Green did admit that his opinion could be biased as he and Ham share the Michigan bond. Regardless of that, there is a high chance the Warriors forward’s opinion might not receive support from the netizens.
Anthony Davis is not the only Lakers star Draymond Green is disappointed in
The third game of the series between the Lakers and Nuggets left a large number of NBA fans disappointed. One of the main reasons was D’Angelo Russell‘s scoreless performance. Despite playing for 24 minutes, the star failed to make a single basket.
Green on his podcast was disheartened by D’Lo’s performance but more so by his demeanor on the sidelines. Russell was not part of the Lakers huddle during a break despite his poor shooting night. Green suspected that the Lakers guard’s behavior indicated that the star had given up on the series.
A little disappointed in D'Lo not being a part of the huddle... After seeing that last night, personally think probably checked out... Right now it looked like the rope has let go.Draymond Green said
Certainly, the next game is going to be a challenge for the men in purple and gold. The team has to tackle multiple obstacles, including Russell’s performance, Ham’s coaching and, more importantly, clinging onto their lead. The team needs to win the next game to avoid another sweep from the Nuggets.
