LeBron James, Michael Jordan and Draymond Green
The Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green has been making the headlines lately after his recent comments regarding two NBA greats, LeBron James and Michael Jordan. Notably, Green made a recent appearance on the Club 520 Podcast and claimed that James had one quality better than the Chicago Bulls legend, Jordan.
Green claimed on the show that James had an intention to make players “better” who played alongside him, unlike Jordan. Green also claimed that Jordan never thought about making anyone better in particular, and only thought about winning. In addition, Green also asserted that the players playing with and without James had a different impact on their games, stating how crucial James was toward certain players’ gameplay.
What separates them on the court to me is LeBron's intention to make his teammates better, The guys that LeBron has made better -- like, did you see them play without him? Michael made guys better just because of how good he was. It wasn't like 'I think this way so I'mma do this to get this guy this.' He's just so good then that guy can fee doff how good you are.On the Club 520 Podcast, Draymond Green said
On the contrary, it’s also important to note that James has played for 21 seasons straight without missing a game. In contrast to Jordan, who had taken a year off during his heyday and retired several times, James has been dominating for the past 20 years and doesn’t appear to be slowing down. It remains to be seen how much more James has in him to perform at the highest levels of the sport.
Draymond Green opens up on his relationship with LeBron James
Draymond Green and LeBron James have been long-time rivals in the NBA for over 10 years but share a good bond off the court. Notably, Green opened up on his bond with James on the Podcast with Paul George show, claiming James is like a “brother” to him and he always seeks advice from the NBA legend when Green’s chips are low.
As far as us being as tight as we are, that’s my big brother. Love him to death, And ain’t nothing changing that. Only thing changing is our relationship continues to grow.On the Podcast with Paul George Show, Draymond Green said
It’s important to know that James and Green had a bad-blood scenario in the past but have seemed to bury the hatchet over the years.
In addition, owing to Green’s connection with James, several reports were circulating last season that suggested the Warriors forward would sign a free-agent contract with the Lakers. However, Green pledged his loyalty to the Warriors (putting the Lakers rumors to bed) as he signed a $100 million contract extension with them.
