“1000%! Absolutely” Draymond Green clears misconception of Chris Paul not trash-talking on court
Chris Paul and Draymond Green had a great rivalry for more than a decade.
Draymond Green talks about Chris Paul
Chris Paul is one of the best point guards the NBA has ever seen. Paul can elevate the whole talent around him like during his days in the Los Angeles Clippers, where he helped the young Blake Griffin. Draymond Green played alongside CP3 for the last season as a part of the Golden State Warriors. Green recently talked about Paul and his playing style and trash-talking on his podcast
On the podcast “The Draymond Green Show” Green sat with Jeff Teague and talked about Chris Paul. Green stated that CP3 and his Los Angeles Clippers were the frontrunners in going against the Warriors dynasty. Teague thought NBA fans had a misconception of Paul not using trash-talk so Teague then asked Green about the same. This was Green’s response:
I've gotten really close with CP so I take that with a grain of salt although I never thought CP was a frontrunner because he was, he played the same way all the time tough, physical as hell, smart, fast if you talk he's getting into it with you.Draymond Green via The Draymond Green Show
Draymond Green even had some praising words for Paul and his game. Paul and Green only played together for one season, when the Warriors failed to make it into the playoffs. While both Green and Paul have come out of their prime, fans won’t deny the talent they had.
Paul has been waived off his contract by the Golden State Warriors and will be joining the San Antonio Spurs. There he will get a chance to elevate a young star in Victor Wembanyama. Green will be a part of the Warriors and is still an important part of the team.
Draymond Green and Chris Paul will again be rivals after teaming for one season
Long-time rivals Draymond Green and Chris Paul teamed up together for the last season as part of the Golden State Warriors. They failed to deliver a championship and didn’t make it to the playoffs. The Warriors won 46 games last season, finished as the 10th seed, and lost to the Sacramento Kings in the play-in.
Chris Paul is set to join the San Antonio Spurs for the next season. CP3 had a great rivalry with the Warriors during his days with the Los Angeles Clippers and the Houston Rockets. Paul had come close to ending the Warriors playoffs run but failed.
Now, Paul will be playing with a young core of the San Antonio Spurs. Great things are expected from his partnership with young star Victor Wembanyama. Green will be playing his 13th season with the Golden State Warriors with the hopes of making it far in the playoffs this time.
