Quite frankly, I think it’s bullsh*t because he is not defending any differently than he has before. If I’m honest, I’ve seen in pockets of this playoffs run for them…him defend at the highest level I’ve ever seen him defend.Draymond Green said
According to the four-time NBA champion, Doncic’s defense is the target of media attacks mainly because it suits their current narrative. It remains to be seen now whether Doncic and Co. can provide a fitting reply to the media and their haters in the upcoming matchups of the NBA Finals.
Draymond Green has supported Luka Doncic several times earlier this 2023-24 NBA Playoffs
The Golden States Warriors’ Draymond Green has been very supportive of the Dallas Mavericks‘ star man Luka Doncic in this 2023-24 NBA Playoffs. He even came in support of Doncic during round 2 of the NBA playoffs against the Oklahoma City Thunder, when two NBA analysts roasted him for his performance in Game 5.
Howard Beck of The Ringer and Kenny Smith of NBA on TNT criticized Doncic with their respective takes regarding his passing in the said series. Back then, Green defended the Mavs star saying that Doncic is “spoon-feeding” his teammates the ball. Dray also praised him for his ability to engage them in the first half of Game 5 against the Thunder.
On the contrary, it’s hilarious that NBA analysts don’t realize that Doncic has been one of the best passers in the NBA for several seasons, if not the greatest in this department. It will be intriguing to watch how Doncic performs in Game 5 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden.
