“I’m a successful Black man in America!” Draymond Green gets HEATED with ‘worries’ over on-court behavior
Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green was questioned over his availability for the team in the upcoming NBA season.
With a new season on the horizon, many NBA teams have improved their rosters. Then there are those teams, like the Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors, that are expecting a better season from their core players. With nothing more than minor additions, LeBron James and Stephen Curry will have to depend on Anthony Davis and Draymond Green for their success.
The former Defensive Player of the Year Draymond Green was at the season’s introductory press conference at Chase Center. San Francisco Chronicle columnist Scott Ostler told him that many, including fans and his teammates, worry about him, which surprised Green.
Ostler tried to reiterate his point that Golden State Warriors fans are worried if Green will be available for every game. With him missing many games due to suspension, it ended up impacting the way the team’s season unfolded.

Green’s dedication to the team is not in question and he pointed out that fans have many more things to worry about instead. In essence, while he was trying to deflect the conversation, he knew that his availability was important for his team.
Draymond Green and Warriors set for crucial season
Draymond Green knows his availability for the Golden State Warriors will be under scrutiny throughout the season. Even an ejection in a game will have the crowds raging. Last season it brought Stephen Curry to tears. If the same repeats, it might push their season over the top.
If Green can remain on the court and be the intelligent basketball player that he is known to be, they will be fine. Their performances with him on the floor are significantly better. Without being able to add much in free agency, they will need his elite playmaking and defense.
If not, they can look towards another early end to their season. The Western Conference has only become tougher and any slip-ups will have an impact. With margins that thin, Draymond Green has to be at his best to ensure the Golden State Warriors fight for the title.
