“Your middle name is flagrant!” Draymond Green gets BRUTALLY trolled by Kenny Smith on live television
Draymond Green made his last appearance on Inside the NBA for this season.
Kenny Smith trolls Draymond Green live on Inside the NBA while going over highlights from Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals
When Draymond Green signed on to work with TNT, he must have known that the crew of Inside the NBA always troll each other. That is a perk of the job which other networks do not enjoy. However, one also will find themselves on the receiving end of it. Charles Barkley has been on his tail ever since he joined the team for the playoffs. However, tonight it was the turn of Kenny Smith.
Karl Anthony-Towns committed his 5th foul with 5 minutes left in the third quarter. When the Inside the NBA crew were reviewing this play, Draymond Green suggested that it should have been judged as a flagrant foul.
Your middle name is flagrant. Hey Draymond, you're a great player, great analyst. But you are flagrant too.Kenny Smith replied to Draymond Green
The Golden State Warriors superstar did not take offense and continued the banter. But credit to Smith for bringing out the troll at the most opportune time.
This was also Draymond Green‘s last game with the Inside the NBA crew. His contract was only until game 4 of the Western Conference Finals. Hearing this, the crew were saddened as he had been giving great insight as a current player.
Even then, that did not stop Charles Barkley from trolling Green again, suggesting that he be a team player and be around at least until the end of the series. Before signing off though, the 4-time champion talked about Rudy Gobert once again.
Draymond Green gives Rudy Gobert his flowers
In the same segment, the former Defensive Player of the Year suggested that the Frenchman had a major impact on the game yesterday. Green acknowledged the adjustments the 4-time DPOY made to his game. That changed the complexion of the game.
Rudy Gobert was in a lot of those tonight. He was chucking everybody. It set a tone for those guys. They were then able to stop them defensively and take advantage of their size. You got to give Rudy credit as well. He set the tone as a big man tonight.Draymond Green said
Whereas even though he only had one block, the way he patrolled the interior ensured that his teammates could guard the perimeter on their own. That takes a lot of pressure of his teammates who would have otherwise come over for help defense. Draymond Green suggested that Rudy Gobert should keep up this level of play.
Even though Green has always gone after Gobert for various reasons, he deserved to be given his flowers today. The Minnesota Timberwolves need him to play this way if they are to win games.
