Warriors star Draymond Green made sure to give Mavs star Luka Doncic his fair share of trash talk during their recent matchup.
Draymond Green and Luka Doncic
The Golden State Warriors went head-to-head against the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week in an NBA Cup matchup. However, all eyes were on the return of former Warrior, Klay Thompson who made his return as an opponent at the Chase Center. Thompson faced off against his former teammates, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green for the first time ever in his NBA career.
Stephen Curry’s remarkable three point surge helped the Warriors pull out a 120-117 victory against the Mavericks clinched the deal in a classic matchup. Despite this, it was Green who seemed to enjoy his night at the Chase Center. Before the game, Green looked the most excited player on the court, sharing hugs and some words with his players and opponents, especially Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic.
With one minute remaining, Curry’s game-changing three-pointer turned the game into a four-point contest, and the Mavericks were struck with the “night night” celebration that followed. After the shot, a mic’d-up Draymond Green shouted “boom” in Doncic’s ear while trash-talking him. This moment went viral on socal media platforms.

Luka Doncic made a bold assertion regarding Stephen Curry after NBA Cup loss
Stephen Curry proved his class in a heated matchup against the Dallas Mavericks recently in an NBA Cup Match. Curry seemed determined to win, after his former splash buddy Klay Thompson ‘ghosted’ him as claimed by Draymond Green on his how. After witnessing Curry’s masterclass, Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic had kind words for his performance.
On the other hand, Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 31 points (13-27 FG), eight rebounds, six assists, and three steals. However, he missed a vital three-pointer in the closing seconds that would have forced overtime. Curry and Green earned the victory, despite Klay Thompson‘s 22 points (7-17 FG) in his comeback to the Bay Area.
