Tonight, the Golden State Warriors went on the road to take on the Washington Wizards. More crucially, it would be the game when Draymond Green locked horns with former teammate Jordan Poole. Even though it has been some time since their altercation, their antics on Monday night showed the beef is still on.

The plays in questions were when the clock was winding down on the second quarter. Jordan Poole had the ball in his hands and shot a long three despite having Green’s hands in his face. The Wizards star then pointed towards his former teammate as they backtracked towards their own half.

On the subsequent possession, Stephen Curry first threw the ball to his fellow team leader. Once he gathered his footing, Green passed the ball back to Curry and saw his fellow Olympic gold medal winner drain a three at the buzzer.

That very moment, Draymond Green returned the favor to Jordan Poole. He kept pointing at the 25-year-old as the Wizards star walked towards the tunnel. This back and forth showed that they still are mad at each other for seemingly destroying a championship team.

The 34-year-old did mention after Poole was traded away that it was difficult to go to work with him there. For Poole, it did not look good as it showed that the young star’s ego got in the way. Had they not split, the Golden State Warriors had everything in them to fight for another NBA title or two.

Jordan Poole shows his disdain for Draymond Green again

A bit later in the game, during an inbounds pass situation, Draymond Green was standing near the sideline talking to Washington Wizards rookie Bub Carrington. Seeing this, Poole walked to his teammate and used his arm to move him away from Green.

Carrington understood the assignment and walked away with a sly smile on his face. Then the fan-recorded video showed Poole and Green mouthing something to each other. It seems as if the former Defensive Player of the Year was suggesting that he was just trying to talk to the rookie.

But Jordan Poole, considering what opinion he holds of his former teammate, thought it was better if Carrington was not to hear the usual trash talk Green is known to do, as it could have a detrimental effect on the young star.

Even if it was just random talk, Poole moving his teammate out of that situation shows what he feels about Green. He has seen enough over his time playing alongside the All-Star that it is better to stay away than get into any discussions.

The Golden State Warriors won the game comfortably with a 125-112 scoreline. This win moved the team to second in the West with a 6-1 record. On the other hand, the young Wizards have much to improve on if they are to move up the standings.
