Draymond Green and Stephen Curry

Throughout their tenure with the Golden State Warriors, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green have faced many challenges. Tuesday was Green’s 35th birthday, and of course, Curry had to take pleasure in the moment to wish his friend and teammate a happy birthday. Interestingly, Green made a bold wish for his 35th birthday that garnered the NBA world’s attention.

Green’s close relatives and close friends sang Happy Birthday as they surprised him with a unique cake bearing his Warriors No. 23 jersey. Green alluded to his greatest wish as he was asked to make one. As he proceeded to cut the cake, Green said, “Y’all know what my wish is, That’s five candles.” This was a subtle hint regarding the 5th NBA ring.

The former back-to-back MVP will undoubtedly be crucial in perhaps granting Green’s birthday request. It’s important to note that Curry attended Green’s birthday celebration and was recording him. The two stars share a close bond on and off the field. Their main goal and aims align: that is, to win the 5th NBA title together.

However, if the Warriors wish to have a real chance at winning the championship this season, they will need to continue to improve. The Warriors improved to 34-28 on Tuesday after defeating the New York Knicks 114-102 at Madison Square Garden. However, Curry and company are still in sixth place in the Western Conference and are fighting hard to stay out of the Play-In postseason.

With the addition of Jimmy Butler to the roster, the Warriors are performing extremely well as of yet. Given that, they still have a lot of work cut out if they were to secure an NBA Playoff spot.

LeBron James takes to social media to wish ‘brother’ Draymond Green on his birthday

LeBron James, the experienced star of the Los Angeles Lakers, wished Golden State Warriors standout Draymond Green a happy birthday on social media. Draymond Green, who was born on March 4, 1990, just celebrated his 35th birthday. To wish the Warriors star and longtime friend, James posted a picture of himself with Gren along with a birthday greeting.

James and Green maintain a bitter rivalry on the court, even though they are friends off it. It started when LeBron’s Cleveland Cavaliers and Draymond’s Golden State Warriors squared off in four straight NBA Finals between 2015 and 2018. Despite this, they admire each other’s skills and have even worked together on business projects.
