It looks like Victor Wembanyama and Jalen Brunson‘s heated moment in Game 3 was much bigger than what was seen, according to Draymond Green. According to the four-time champion, Green noticed something that met more than the eye.

After Wembanyama shoved Brunson to the floor, the Knicks guard confronted the French star. However, Green noticed that none of Brunson’s teammates stood up for him during the confrontation.

On the latest episode of Kevin O’Connor’s podcast, Green criticized the Knicks players for their failure to respond to the moment.

He pushed him down and none of the guys on the Knicks team did anything. Don’t not for one second think that didn’t matter. You’re not pushing Stephen Curry by the back of the head down to the ground.

Draymond Green has always been known for being a polarizing figure. He has often been criticized for his questionable actions and plays, but if there is one thing Green would never back away from, it is standing up for his teammates. Over the years, he has emerged as the leader of the Golden State Warriors’ locker room.

When Victor Wembanyama shoved Jalen Brunson in the first quarter of Game 3, he was booed and explicit chants were directed at him by the Knicks crowd. The heated moment from Wembanyama saw him turn into a villain at the Garden.

Green was left disappointed by the Knicks players as he would have responded swiftly if something like that happened to his teammate, Stephen Curry. With the Warriors failing to make it to the playoffs, Green is serving as a panelist on the Inside the NBA show.

No. Whatever you saw is what you saw.

Brunson’s response was brief as he did not want to escalate the issue. The Knicks guard has been impressive in the first three games of the NBA Finals and may use the moment with Wembanyama to fuel himself for Game 4.

Jose Alvarado sends warning to Victor Wembanyama

Victor Wembanyama’s shove on Jalen Brunson was a controversial moment in Game 3. Many believed that the dirty play by the Frenchman warranted a flagrant foul. Unfortunately, the officials reviewed the incident and did not upgrade the foul to a flagrant 1.

While speaking to the media, Brunson’s teammate, Jose Alvarado, claimed that Wembanyama’s no-call foul is not a basketball play and had some stern words for him.

I think that’s not basketball. That’s something that they gotta look at. But [Wembanyama] got away with one. That’ll be the last one.

The Spurs have shown that they are ready to be physical against the Knicks. They are coming off a very physical seven-game series against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals.

They may lack playoff experience, but they have shown that they are not afraid of the moment. The Knicks still hold a slight advantage heading into Game 4. It remains to be seen if Wembanyama pulls off any such moves again in the series.
