Anthony Edwards discusses advice from Draymond Green
Anthony Edwards has staged a summer takeover in the NBA. Many names had been thrown out for the next American face of the NBA, including Ja Morant and Jayson Tatum, among others. However, Edwards had a stellar summer, taking the Timberwolves to the Western Conference Finals and helping Team USA win gold at the Paris Olympics. After his gold medal victory, Warriors veteran Draymond Green reached out to Edwards for some key advice.
Draymond Green and Anthony Edwards have shared a tight relationship, with the 4x champ often hailing Edwards as the future face of the league. Both of them share the trash-talking gene in their blood and have gotten into verbal spars often.
But this time, Green reached out to Edwards with some critical advice for his future in the league following his stellar summer. The youngster spilled the beans in a recent post-game interview.
Anthony Edwards said he talked to Draymond Green after the Olympics, and Draymond's advice to him was, "don't be a moment type of guy".

Anthony Edwards revealed that Draymond Green told him not to get absorbed by the moment. Even though Edwards had a number of major achievements this past season, his focus should remain on continuing to strive for greatness. The Timberwolves star wants to remain the ‘top dawg’ in the league as he has often mentioned.
Green has certainly placed high hopes in the future of Anthony Edwards. Prior to the advice Green offered to Edwards after the Olympics, the Warriors veteran had high praise for AntMan during his 2024 playoff run. He even called Edwards the ‘next face of the league’ earlier in March this year.
Anthony Edwards lifts Timberwolves to victory over Bulls
Anthony Edwards led from the front as the Minnesota Timberwolves took on the Chicago Bulls at the United Center, winning 135-119. Edwards put up an efficient 33 points, shooting 13-for-23 from the field. Edwards especially took over in the 4th quarter and put the game away with a quick 13 points on 100% shooting from the field in just five minutes.
The Bulls had no answer for the long-distance bombardment from Anthony Edwards. The Timberwolves star finished yet another game with five or more threes made.
Edwards is leading the league in shooting, averaging 5.1 threes per game at 46.1% shooting from deep. These elite numbers put Edwards in a stratosphere that only Stephen Curry, arguably the greatest three-point shooter of all time, has touched.
