The Golden State Warriors are having a rather fruitful NBA season with their recent win being against the Toronto Raptors. Draymond Green‘s team-high 21 points and four steals proved a major contribution to the close win. While his court presence was one of the things that stole plenty of eyes, it was his sideline victory celebration with his daughter that had the most impact.

Draymond Green and the Warriors’ 117-114 win was far from an easy give by the Raptors. Nevertheless, the NBA star had a special guest to see him clinch the points. After the tough match, the basketball power forward was spotted in a heartwarming moment with his infant daughter.

Warriors on NBCS’ X account posted two pictures of Green where his daughter ran towards him before he took her into his arms. The interaction seemed to have melted the eyes of many fans. Draymond Green’s daughter was a sweet diversion for the Warriors’ fans who looked forward to what was in store for the team.

After Stephen Curry was ruled out of the game from a pelvic contusion, Green had taken up the charge. Notably, Green and Curry’s impeccable chemistry had won several games for them this season. That said especially with the inclusion of Jimmy Butler now making it a trio. However with the uncertainty of Curry’s recovery, Green might have more work to do.

Nevertheless, he would have extra motivation from his children on the sidelines. Notably, his four children are often present at his basketball games, practices, and even press conferences. In the past, they have also taken up headlines for memorably interrupting the NBA star’s interviews. When Green is not on the court, he is most likely celebrating his children’s milestones.

Draymond Green talks fatherhood and the challenges

Draymond Green is married to actress Hazel Renee. Both individuals have a child from their past relationships, Hunni and Olive, and share two, Draymond Jr. and Cash. Back when the Warriors hit the offseason after the 2nd round of the playoffs in 2023, Green had plenty of time to spend with his children. In one of his interviews with Andscape, the four-time NBA champion shed some light on parenting and his experiences.

Draymond Green opened up about having learned life lessons from his children. While being around them, the NBA star would be vigilant about his habits. Should he find himself indulging in something questionable, he would immediately rectify it for fear his kids would take it up.

Majorly, he shared, it was his “temperament” and the way he ‘reacted to things’. Previously, he called being a father a “full-time job” that did not have monetary reciprocations. However, it was his “biggest blessing” as it paid him “unconditional love, joy, and happiness”.

While managing basketball and parenting was a tough job for Green, he managed it quite well. More often than not, he merged the two when his children visited him in practices or games. Draymond Jr. was also a Warriors ball boy at some point. The NBA star thanked the league for being welcoming and inclusive to their families.
