It does feel like James Harden does know how to get his way out of a team whenever he wants, especially when the pressure of a trade deadline is around. His most recent move away from Brooklyn to join the Philadelphia 76ers made headlines everywhere as he now joined forces with MVP contender Joel Embiid. Moreover, with Ben Simmons also getting a chance to leave Sin City, who truly shunned him since the beginning of 2021-22 season, the Beard does have huge shoes to fill.

After making his first appearance with the team in the gyms, the Beard might not have been able to play in the Sixers’ jersey but has revealed his true feeling on playing alongside Cameroonian, Joel Embiid. On a recent occasion, took center stage with Paul Millsap, Daryl Morey, Doc Rivers and Josh Harris to do the same.

“We’re both at a high level to where we will figure it out. Joel Embiid does everything,” said James Harden as quoted by ClutchPoints. “They have something great going on, I’m just here to contribute, and I know I can do that very well. On the court, when you got high-level skilled guys that know the game and all they want to do is win, we’ll figure it out.”

Very rarely does a pair of superstars take long to mesh on the floor, so Harden is right to be positive about his new situation. In the NBA, talent always figures it out. Especially in an instance like this, where the two are near-perfect complements of each other. 

This is the first time in the career of James Harden that he has joined a mainstream big man, who has the potential of becoming an MVP. Will he be able to deliver the expectations loaded upon his shoulders? Remains to be seen as there would be no excuses to give, this time around. Lastly, with the Sixers having to sacrifice Seth Curry too, in the process of acquiring Harden, the Beard needs to be at his best in the business days of the 2021-22 season.
