Since her departure, Ronda Rousey has made a lot of controversial comments regarding her stint in WWE. Recently, during an interview, she accused current NXT Superstar Drew Gulak of grabbing her sweatpants backstage. Now, as per the latest update, Gulak has been removed from all current and future plans following the allegations.
A new report from Fightful states that he was completely removed from the April 9 live tapings of NXT. Moreover, Gulak’s seat was removed during the Hall of Fame ceremony following the accusations. During the latest episode of NXT after Stand & Deliver, WWE decided to remove the 36-year-old from the No Quarter Catch Crew’s titantron and instead played Charlie Dempsey‘s theme song.
Drew Gulak stated in his response to the allegations that it was just an accident, and he immediately apologized to Rousey. Things aren’t looking good for The Legal Eagle, as he wasn’t even mentioned on the latest edition of NXT. Unfortunately, there are reportedly no creative plans in place for him at this point.
Meanwhile, The Baddest Woman on the Planet has been very vocal about her new book since she parted ways with WWE. Her new autobiography ‘Our Fight’ was published on April 4, which shed light on her WWE tenure and the inner conflicts that led to her departure from the company. Only time will tell whether she has more secrets to spill about the Stamford-based company or not.
Jim Ross expressed his opinion on Ronda Rousey’s comments
Since the allegations against Vince McMahon came out in front of the wrestling world, Ronda Rousey has been supporting the claims wholeheartedly. In fact, she has talked extensively about the workplace culture and environment. However, according to WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, this could’ve been handled in a different way.
Speaking on the latest episode of his podcast, Grilling JR, he expressed his opinion on Rousey’s recent comments on WWE. The 72-year-old legend doubted that she could be promoting her memoir by keeping WWE in a bad light. He further praised The Baddest Woman on the Planet by saying that she’s very outspoken and honest, but also advised her to channel that into something more positive.
It's unsettling, honestly. I don't know if that's the way to promote any product in a negative light. A negative light doesn't shine very brightly on most projects. I understand what she's doing, I understand why she's doing it. She wants to sell books. She's very outspoken, she's very honest. But I think sometimes, you've got to saddle it back up with something that's more positive.Jim Ross via Grilling JR
JR then revealed how much respect he has for Rousey and how much he has always admired her in that aspect. All in all, the former Women’s Champion’s recent comments have gained polarizing opinions online.
