Top WWE star admits to ‘storming’ out of the arena after CM Punk’s shocking return at Survivor Series 2023

CM Punk made an earth-shattering return at Survivor Series 2023. He created waves all over the world of professional wrestling. Many stars had prior problems with the Best in the World before his return. One of them was Drew McIntyre, who stormed out of the building as soon as ‘Cult of Personality’ hit in the Allstate Arena.
Speaking on Insight with Chris Van Vliet, Drew McIntyre revealed why he left the building. He said that he couldn’t stand Punk. The Scottish Warrior claimed that if he had been there for a few more minutes, he might have caused an incident. The former WWE Champion added that the reaction was genuine, and he was cranked up after seeing the Second City Saint back in WWE.

Moreover, many fans even considered that moment to be staged. The Scottish-born star shed light on that matter by saying he was not planning to plant the seeds for a future feud. The 39-year-old also addressed the reaction of Seth Rollins. He claimed that it was legitimate, as The Visionary also had no idea about the comeback of the Straight Edge Superstar.
The moment when Drew rushed out of the Allstate Arena at Survivor Series eventually became the start of the feud between him and Punk. The two stars would proceed to take shots at each other during promos. In the most recent chapter of their rivalry, McIntyre ended up brutalizing the Chicago-born star and breaking Punk’s priceless bracelet.

The two stars finally collided at SummerSlam in Cleveland. Recently, The Scottish Warrior revealed how the Best in the World surprised him with his unexpected durability and agility.
Speaking with Sam Roberts at the Fanatics Fest, McIntyre said that he never expected the Second City Saint to be so tough. He added that he was caught off guard by the resilience of the former AEW star. In fact, Drew claimed that he was one of the best stars he has ever been in ring with.
I was surprised when I got hit with the first punch how much I felt it. I was surprised when he kept kicking out. Most of all, I was surprised by his durability, his cardio, so he caught me off-guard in that way.

The blood feud has reached its boiling point, and it seems Punk and McIntyre will compete in a Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood.
