Drew McIntyre shocked the world with an unexpected return on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw. In the closing moments of the show, The Scottish Warrior delivered a wicked ‘Claymore’ to Sami Zayn, marking his comeback to the roster. Moments after putting on a statement on Raw, the former WWE Champion broke his silence with a social media video message.

The 39-year-old insisted that the WWE Universe should assume everything about him to be false unless he personally reveals otherwise. Seemingly addressing rumors about his extended time away from the USA, The Scottish Warrior also reminded fans not to forget just how dangerous he can be inside a WWE ring after putting the roster on notice.

Moreover, it was the first appearance of McIntyre since his barbaric Hell in a Cell match with CM Punk at Bad Blood. He has seemingly set his eyes on redemption once again in WWE by taking out one of the biggest babyfaces on Raw, Sami Zayn. It will be intriguing to see how things are going to revolve for him moving forward.

Given the previous statements of the Scottish-born star, his long-term goal still potentially involves winning back the World Heavyweight Championship. However, at this point, settling down personal conflicts seems to be the priority for him. Zayn and McIntyre have been at loggerheads over their differences of opinion on The Bloodline and Jey Uso. 

Why Drew McIntyre might have attacked Sami Zayn on Raw?

Drew McIntyre unexpectedly attacked Sami Zayn on Raw. While it seemed like he could be making his return around the Royal Rumble, he came back way earlier than speculated. However, his return has left the WWE Universe with multiple questions about why he might have chosen Zayn to be his next target on Monday Night Raw.

There are several possible reasons why McIntyre targeted The Honorary Uce. He might be looking to settle unfinished business with The OG Bloodline by taking out each member one by one. Additionally, he could be seeking retribution against his arch-nemesis, possibly setting the stage for a showdown with Zayn and also Jey Uso down the line.

Furthermore, there is a strong possibility that the alliance between Uso, Zayn, and CM Punk could have infuriated The Scottish Warrior, prompting an ambush on Monday Night Raw. In fact, there are chances that he could’ve been the one who attacked Jey before Zayn’s match.
