This week’s SmackDown was from Chicago, CM Punk‘s hometown. It was after the shenanigans of the Best in the World in Scotland. However, the tide quickly turned when Drew McIntyre shockingly attacked the Second City Saint and delivered a statement with his actions.
During a backstage segment, the Scottish Warrior smashed CM Punk behind a shutter. When the crew lifted the metal door, the former WWE Champion was standing in front of the blood-drenched, lifeless body of the Straight Edge Superstar. The 39-year-old picked up Punk from there on his shoulder and took him to the stage to drop him in shame and embarrassment in front of his people.
The Second City Saint was motionless as the former WWE Champion stood over him. It was a surprising turn of events as the Scottish-born quit WWE this week on Raw. However, it was all a plan laid out by him to embarrass the Voice of the Voiceless in his hometown.
Moreover, Nick Aldis looked quite furious at the antics of the Scottish Warrior. He helped the medical staff immediately take Punk out of the arena and to a medical facility. Drew McIntyre took revenge on the Best in the World for causing bedlam in his hometown at Clash at the Castle.
Drew McIntyre gave his first reaction after attacking CM Punk
Drew McIntyre recently deactivated his social media after he quit WWE this week on Raw. He showed up all of a sudden on SmackDown to take out CM Punk in a devastating ambush. Following the wreckage, the Scottish Warrior gave his first response to the fans on X.
The former WWE Champion posted a picture of ‘Homelander’ smiling after being stained by blood all over his face. It was quite a subtle indication of the Scottish Warrior enjoying seeing the Best in the World bloodied on SmackDown.
Moreover, he even changed his profile picture on X with a picture of the Second City Saint’s face, all bloody. It was another subtle dig towards him getting pleasure from the condition of the Voice of the Voiceless. McIntyre even took the AJ Lee and Larry bracelet from Chicago’s own.
