Drew McIntyre injured himself during his match against Seth Rollins at WrestleMania XL. While still recovering, the current World Heavyweight Champion, Damian Priest, promised him a title opportunity once he was cleared. However, MSG’s recent announcement on social media seems to have spoiled that match.

MSG shared a post on Instagram, announcing that Damian Priest will be defending his title against Jey Uso on June 28. The confusing factor here was the date, as confirmed by The Archer of Infamy, who revealed that he was supposed to fight Drew McIntyre at the Clash at the Castle event on June 15. McIntyre took to Instagram and commented under this post in complete disbelief.

On the latest episode of Monday Night Raw, both superstars got into a heated argument when the champion mentioned McIntyre’s wife. Before things could escalate further, Braun Strowman came out for his match against JD McDonagh, ending the exciting segment. Interestingly, The Monster Among Men had his eyes on the World Heavyweight title as well.

With the early announcement made by MSG, many fans predicted that CM Punk would cost him another title. Both McIntyre and Punk have screwed each other multiple times throughout their rivalry. However, if The Best in the World costs him another title match, especially in his hometown, it will take this rivalry to a whole new level. WWE recently announced that The Scottish Warrior would be fighting his old friend Sheamus, which will likely be his first match after returning from an injury.

TNA World Champion Moose sent a message to Drew McIntyre

During the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble, TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace made a shocking appearance. This opened the “forbidden door.” Therefore, Drew McIntyre hinted at going after the TNA World Title by sharing a picture. The current World Champion, Moose, took notice of The Scottish Warrior’s post and sent him an alarming message.

Moose took to X and replied to McIntyre’s comment, stating, “Doors open both ways,” and seemed quite confident about facing him. He recalled their previous fight when the 38-year-old star wrestled in TNA under the name Drew Galloway. Moose stated that if McIntyre really wanted to go after his title, their bosses could certainly make it happen.

DREW i see where your Title obsession Began. If this is something you truly want. Have your Boss call my Boss. The outcome will be the same #TrustTheSystem #TheSystem

Both superstars were heavily involved in a rivalry for the title in 2017, when Galloway first dethroned Moose to become the Impact Grand Champion. Two months later, he lost the title back to Mr. Impact Wrestling before parting ways with the company shortly after. Given McIntyre’s habit of giving fitting replies to his rivals, the TNA World Champion should expect a response from him soon.
