Drew McIntyre kicked off this week’s episode of Raw. The Scot had a lot to say after his attack on CM Punk on SmackDown in Chicago. First, McIntyre berated the WWE Universe for chanting The Second City Saint’s name, despite the latter costing him a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at Clash at the Castle. The two-time WWE Champion then took out the bracelet he snatched from Punk.
The 39-year-old said that he knew how much it meant to his rival. He mentioned that the bracelet had his wife, AJ Lee, and his “stupid-looking dog” Larry’s names on it. McIntyre further revealed that the Best in the World doesn’t leave his home without wearing it. Later, The Scottish Warrior declared that he would be entering the Money in the Bank Ladder match.

More importantly, the former Intercontinental Champion vowed to win the briefcase and cash in on the same night. Before exiting the ring, Drew McIntyre said that he would have the support of Punk’s family and kissed the bracelet. Last Friday on SmackDown, the Ayr-born wrestler capitalized on the opportunity to seek revenge against the Voice of the Voiceless.

McIntyre attacked CM Punk backstage, carried him on his shoulders, and showcased the ‘bloody’ hometown hero in front of the audience. If that wasn’t personal enough, Drew insulted the former AEW star’s dog on the latest edition of Raw. Needless to say, Punk will be looking to respond accordingly once he is medically cleared to compete.
Drew McIntyre’s path to Money in the Bank won’t be a straightforward one
As mentioned above, Drew McIntyre declared himself for the Money in the Bank ladder match. Despite every other competitor qualifying through triple threat bouts, the Scot seemingly entered himself without having to earn it. Therefore, Raw GM Adam Pearce took issue with this backstage.

Pearce outlined how McIntyre had been causing mayhem for over a week now. Whether it was quitting WWE or blindsiding CM Punk, The Scottish Warrior had no right to be in the MITB ladder match. In response, the two-time WWE Champion asserted that the authority figure would do the right thing.
With one spot on the Raw brand remaining, McIntyre will probably have to compete in a triple threat match to qualify. Having said that, it will be interesting to see whether the former Intercontinental Champion punches his ticket to Toronto or not.
