WWE superstars are currently enjoying the ongoing European tour as much as the fans. Roman Reigns, CM Punk, and Seth Rollins will appear on this week’s SmackDown in Bologna, Italy. Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre and Chelsea Green have already joined the trip and linked up with Italian football legend Gianluigi Buffon.
The Scottish Warrior shared a video on X showing him and Chelsea Green meeting Buffon. Buffon gave them Italian national jerseys, while he received a WrestleMania 41 t-shirt in return. McIntyre was visibly pleased to see the number 3 on his shirt, a tribute to legendary defender Paolo Maldini.
Gigi and Drew McIntyre shared a lighthearted moment when Buffon jokingly tried to rip McIntyre’s suit. For those who don’t know, the two-time WWE Champion is an avid football fan and often wears Scotland’s national team jersey. This wasn’t WWE’s first football collaboration—just days ago, FC Barcelona player Lamine Yamal attended Monday Night Raw.

McIntyre is currently in a heated rivalry with Damian Priest. Meanwhile, Green, the inaugural and current champion, has formed a secret service consisting of Alba Fyre and Piper Niven, who have helped her retain her title.
Drew McIntyre shared his disappointment about his booking ahead of WrestleMania 41
The Scottish Warrior aimed to win both the Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches, but Damian Priest crushed his dreams by eliminating him from both. McIntyre later expressed his disappointment about his status leading up to WrestleMania 41.
In an interview with Adam’s Apple, he expressed frustration about not being part of a world title match at the Showcase of the Immortals. Despite his heated rivalry with CM Punk in 2024 gaining massive attention, he remained out of the main event scene. However, he brushed off his disappointment and promised fans an outstanding match with Priest at WrestleMania.
Since I’m not in a world title match at WrestleMania, I know that in 2024, people were talking about me and CM Punk more than anyone—and I did 90% of that work. So yeah, I’m pissed off about not being in the world title match. I’ll make sure there’s a big match, a compelling story people are invested in, and I’ll make sure the match is f*******—because I’m Drew McIntyre.

Last year’s WrestleMania was forgettable for McIntyre despite winning the World Heavyweight Title. After defeating Seth Rollins, he mocked Punk at the commentary table. When the 39-year-old pushed things too far, Punk attacked him, allowing Señor Money in the Bank to cash in and pin McIntyre for the title. Now, McIntyre will surely look to seek revenge for what Priest did to him.

“Cha-Ching” Chelsea eagerly wore the Italian national team jersey while attending the Italy vs. Germany match. The Women’s U.S. Champion shared several pictures on X, showing off the jersey she received from Gianluigi Buffon at San Siro Stadium. However, her support wasn’t enough, as Italy lost the first leg 2-1 to Germany.
Chelsea Green’s U.S. title reign has been a wild ride. She defeated Michin on December 14th at Saturday Night Main Event to become the inaugural champion. Since then, she has defended the title multiple times against Mia Yim, often with help from Piper Niven. On the latest episode of NXT, the Lunatic Lush defeated Sol Ruca to retain her championship.

Defending the title won’t be easy for the champion, as many stars are eager for a shot. Michin, Zelina Vega, Naomi, and Candice LeRae are all ready to dethrone her. It will be interesting to see if Green defends her championship at WrestleMania 41.
