One in particular, my wife doesn't think I'm funny at all. But I was in the shower, and I remember I shouted at her. I was like, 'Kaitlyn, come here! I got an idea for a line. She's like 'Oh God, what?' I was like 'Alright-Alright, you see, Punk is straight edge. He doesn't do drugs, he doesn't drink. Yet he spent his time in rehab.' And she just rolled her eyes and walked off.

The 39-year-old averred that it was his favorite insult against CM Punk. McIntyre revised that on Raw two weeks before WrestleMania XL in Chicago, he used that shot. It was about Punk claiming to be a straight edge but still being in rehab more than anyone. Although this line didn’t work on his wife, McIntyre managed to get a massive reaction from the fans, even in the hometown of the Straight Edge Superstar.

In fact, it even got the Best in the World for a second, as he was awestruck following the response. For now, this feud has been turned into a bloodbath. The former WWE champion destroyed the former AEW star on Raw. Now it seems they are likely to face each other at Bad Blood.

Speaking with Chris Van Vliet on Insight, the Scottish Warrior said that the King of Kings has given everyone a chance to shine. He added that under Paul Levesque, stars are more free to do their own. McIntyre also made it clear that it makes the failure of the product a total responsibility of the star as well.

It’s all across the board, with the new management coming in, new creative process, Hunter kinda leading the ship and giving a lot of people, basically everybody, but specifically those that have been there for a minute the chance to ‘Hey if you’ve got more to show, then show it. ‘This is your chance, there’s no wrong answers, go for it and if it fails it’s on you,’

These types have been a game changer on many occasions, while a total flop at times as well. Under the regime of Hunter, the Scottish Warrior has shined a lot. He became the top heel in the company. His feud with CM Punk has torn the house down and established him as one of the stars on the roster.
