With the overhauled WWE hierarchy after Vince McMahon‘s ousting, the company has gotten extremely receptive to letting its talent entertain offers outside of the squared circle. The latest addition to that list is Drew McIntyre. Having signed with the Paradigm Talent Agency in July 2024 for representation in all spheres of entertainment, the Scot’s acting skills were on display in Dave Bautista‘s The Killer’s Game.

And guess what? McIntyre is lined up for a major film role, as per PWInsider. There’s no word on what genre it could possibly be at this point. Speaking of how he was cast into The Killer’s Game, which was his big-screen debut, the credit goes to Bautista. The latter told Chris Van Vliet that he immediately suggested The Scottish Warrior’s name to JJ Perry, who was looking for a giant, intimidating guy adept at pulling off a Scottish accent.

That’s how The Animal thought of McIntyre, and director Perry loved what he saw once Bautista showed him what the WWE superstar looked like. Unfortunately, the movie bombed at the box office. It collected $2.6 million in its opening weekend, the lowest for any Bautista movie ever. But for the Scot, he was there for the exposure and played his part.

The Chosen One’s fortunes have drastically changed in the past few years. He was always hailed as an in-ring beast. Unsatisfied with being one-dimensional, the 39-year-old made it his priority to be as dynamic on the microphone, too. These days, he’s witty and might eat anyone up opposing him in that ring. The year-long feud he had with CM Punk in 2024 produced some of the best promos and matches McIntyre has had in his career.

What’s next for Drew McIntyre after WrestleMania victory?

If WrestleMania 41 was any indication of Drew McIntyre’s immediate WWE future, it’s quite promising. In Vegas, he took care of Damian Priest in a Sin City Street Fight. The Street King had been long troubling the Ayr-born wrestler since cashing in his Money in the Bank contract on the Scot at WrestleMania XL. Everyone thought that McIntyre had closed his chapter with Priest last weekend.

However, on SmackDown post-Mania, The Punisher cost his nemesis a No. 1 contenders match for the US title against LA Knight. It was Jacob Fatu, the man who dethroned Knight for the gold at WrestleMania, standing tall at the end. Given the nature of that segment, a Fatal 4-Way showdown could be the way forward for Fatu’s first title defense as the United States Champion.

It’d be interesting to see if WWE announces Fatu vs. Knight vs. Priest vs. McIntyre with the US title up for grabs at Backlash. The short-term rivalry might be a way for WWE to write The Scottish Psychopath off TV, as he’s reportedly set for a Hollywood role.

Which other WWE star has landed a major Hollywood role other than Drew McIntyre?

As Drew McIntyre prepares for his next Hollywood venture, there’s one more WWE name pegged for a similar route. She’s none other than Liv Morgan. PWInsider has reported that if the project Morgan’s about to get involved with hits on expected lines, it could establish her as the “it girl” of Hollywood.

As far as her role is concerned, she’s not doing a superhero film. In fact, the New Jersey native is rather going to land a dramatic role. There’s internal optimism within the Hollywood circles that everyone will get to know the magnitude of the project once the involved studio and cast are revealed.

On this week’s Raw, one-half of the women’s tag team champs informed Nick Aldis that she’d be taking time off from WWE to go film a major movie. The real-life Gionna Daddio has been one of the most consistent in-ring performers for WWE in recent months. Her void will be hard to fill.
