Drew McIntyre and Sheamus involved in a heated Twitter exchange
Drew McIntyre and Sheamus had a heated Twitter exchange
Friends turned foes, Sheamus and Drew McIntyre will face-off at WWE’s upcoming PPV, Fastlane. The former WWE Champions have been delivering some brutal matches on recent episodes of Raw. But their attacks are not limited to WWE TV.
McIntyre and Sheamus continued to fire-off at each other on social media. The war on Twitter began, when Sheamus tweeted the poster of their WWE Fastlane match.
The tweet came to Drew McIntyre’s notice and he responded by saying that Sheamus was losing the plot. It was McIntyre, who was making Sheamus for one last time.
A fan, as Sheamus asked, photoshopped the Fastlane poster. Sheamus was brought ahead of McIntyre in the image. The Celtic Warrior immediately made the photoshopped image his new profile picture and even called McIntyre a ‘haggis head’.
As soon as Sheamus posted the image, McIntyre informed that he had muted Sheamus.
But being muted did not stop Sheamus. He mentioned that it was a proof that he was WWE Championship material.
McIntyre will be going after the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania 37
WWE announced that WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will be defending his title at Wrestlemania 37 against Drew McIntyre. But Sheamus wants to go after the title too. In case he manages to win at Fastlane, we might see the match at Wrestlemania becoming a triple-threat match.
Apart from this three more Wrestlemania matches have been officially announced :
- Roman Reigns vs. Edge for the WWE Universal Championship (subject to change)
- Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship
- The New Day vs. AJ Styles and Omos for the WWE Raw Tag Team Championship
WWE Fastlane airs live on 21st March, 2021. Wrestlemania 37 airs live on 10th and 11th April, 2021.
