Drew McIntyre will face CM Punk at Bash in Berlin in a strap match. On his way to Germany, the Scottish Warrior had to go through Jey Uso in a dark match after the latest episode of SmackDown went off the air. Unfortunately, he was able to keep up his momentum from SummerSlam.
The crowd began deafening chants of CM Punk upon seeing McIntyre walk down to the ring. Uso told him that if he wanted the crowd to stop those chants, he had to do the Yeet gesture alongside him. The Chosen One seemed annoyed at first, but he seemingly gave in after a few minutes of convincing. The two superstars stood side-by-side and raised their arms in order to perform the sign alongside the audience.
However, Drew McIntyre would not let the audience and Uso have their moment. He kicked his opponent in the stomach as they had their arms raised, and the Samoan immediately fell to the ground. The crowd erupted in boos, and the referee seemed shocked by this action as well.
The 10x Tag Team Champion would eventually get his revenge on the Scottish Psychopath. He rolled up his opponent and held on to his tights to hold him down for the three count. The crowd was ecstatic that their favorite picked up the victory, and McIntyre was heartbroken after losing in such a manner. Despite being a member of the Raw roster, the Samoan has often been seen in dark matches on SmackDown, defeating huge names such as Finn Balor.
Drew McIntyre discusses his relationship with Seth Rollins
McIntyre and Rollins have a lot of history in WWE. In the past year alone, they have faced off against each other in three singles matches: at Crown Jewel, at Raw Day One, and finally at WrestleMania XL Night 2. Although they are tense rivals, they do share resentment for their common foe, CM Punk.
Speaking on The Masked Man Show, McIntyre revealed that his rivalry with Rollins was based purely on a professional basis. This rivalry was dissimilar to his animosity with Punk, which has gotten highly personal in nature. Rather, the two of them simply wanted to be the best, and their rivalry was solely about who was the better wrestler. He claimed that they helped each other get better, comparing it to iron sharpening iron.
That's when I get the best results out of people, because I know I operate the best when I'm angry.Drew McIntyre on The Masked Man Show
Alongside pushing people to be better, he admitted to enjoying riling people up and pressing their buttons. Furthermore, Seth Rollins also operated best when he was angry.
