Drew McIntyre is one of the top heels in WWE these days. He seldomly breaks character and tries molding his social media activity around his ongoing gimmick. But there are instances in life when these hulking WWE figures present their real selves just for the sake of making their fans feel better. That’s what happened between McIntyre and his superfan, Jordan.

The said fan was recently diagnosed with terminal brain cancer. He’ll undergo radiotherapy, which will start in early November, and the complete diagnosis is hinged on the results of some other medical tests. The treatment will help both maintain and prolong the quality of his life. The post didn’t go unnoticed by ‘The Scottish Warrior’, and he quoted a heartwarming reply to Jordan.

McIntyre dropped that famous Rocky Balboa quote, emphasizing the need to keep moving forward even when one faces a setback. The former WWE Champion backed his ailing compatriot and quipped that he needs him for when the Rangers FC get back on top. Even though McIntyre wasn’t obligated to do it, his gesture of publicly lending emotional support to his fan has earned him the adulation of the wrestling community as a whole.

The Ayr-born wrestler’s social media game on X has majorly focused on putting out content to advance the storyline against whoever he’s feuding with. McIntyre’s unmatched wit and sharp jabs at the likes of CM Punk, Jey Uso, Cody Rhodes, and more have helped him land two WWE Slammy awards in the category of Social Star of the Year in 2024 and 2025.

Drew McIntyre’s year-end fate to be decided at Saturday Night’s Main Event

After having an underwhelming year with a mixed bag of results all around, Drew McIntyre has the opportunity to close it out on a high note. This weekend, the 6’5″ from Scotland will challenge Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE title. ‘The Chosen One’ was Rhodes’ first title defense after he won it back from John Cena at SummerSlam.

‘The American Nightmare’ had to dodge a major bullet in the form of McIntyre at Wrestlepalooza. Rhodes ended up retaining his gold after the match referee inadvertently, as his fans would like to believe, saved the ‘QB1’ from getting his face caved in. Had the WWE official not stepped between an incensed McIntyre and Rhodes begging for dear life at ringside, the Scot would’ve delivered a Claymore kick to the ex-AEW EVP through the hood of the commentary desk.

After the referee precluded McIntyre from redoing the dangerous spot that had previously left Rhodes sidelined for three weeks, the Scot ended up injuring his right leg. And that was it for McIntyre. Having since accused the referee of working in cahoots with ‘Corporate Cody’, the ‘Scottish Psychopath’ will look to upset the fan-favorite at Saturday Night’s Main Event. If McIntyre takes the title off Rhodes, it’ll be his first one since WrestleMania XL.

Drew McIntyre revealed his pick of Jacob Fatu’s attacker on SmackDown

After being viewed by the WWE management as the prime suspect of Jacob Fatu‘s attacker, Drew McIntyre has since shifted the blame on Jimmy Uso. On SmackDown last Friday, the Scot called Uso the black sheep of his family and theorized that he might’ve taken out Fatu in rage after that emotional outburst caused by his younger brother Jey Uso on Raw.

‘The Yeet Master’ betrayed ‘Big Jim’ in the No. 1 contender’s Battle Royal for the World Heavyweight Championship. McIntyre also brought Jimmy’s wife into the conversation by stating that Uso took some inspiration from her ambush of Jade Cargill to emulate those exploits on ‘The Samoan Werewolf’.

The former women’s world champion recently engaged in a series of back-and-forth exchanges with McIntyre on X. The real-life Trinity Fatu didn’t hold back after the ‘Chosen One’ dragged her unborn baby into their banter. She asked McIntyre to not come to her crying for help when her baby drags him out of his nursing home bed in about 20 years from now.
