Dustin Poirier signs contract for Conor McGregor trilogy fight on the 10th of July at UFC 264!
Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor
Dustin Poirier has officially signed the contract for the Conor McGregor trilogy fight. The fight will take place on the 10th of July at UFC 264, with the venue yet to be decided. The announcement had been imminent all these days (but the fans were getting a bit impatient), and the fight fans can relax, now that it has been made official.
The news was first reported by Ariel Helwani of ESPN MMA, who announced that ‘The Diamond’ has signed the contract for the trilogy fight at UFC 264. It is to be noted that the UFC host their international fight weeks during the month of July.
‘Location TBD, still parts unknown‘ – Ariel Helwani
Helwani was quoted as saying, “Dustin Poirier has officially signed his contract to fight Conor McGregor on July 10 at UFC 264… Location TBD, still parts unknown.“
The two are coming off their rematch at UFC 257, where Conor McGregor was knocked out for the first time in his professional MMA career, making it 1-1. The pair had initially met at UFC 178 during September 2014, where Conor McGregor knocked out Dustin Poirier in the first round.
The match promises to be a cracker of a contest, as Dustin Poirier might be putting a great chance at lightweight title, to the cleaners, in case he loses this one. Who have you got?
