Dustin Poirier has now set his eyes again at the UFC lightweight championship as he teased his return. He has lost in a close fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov at UFC 242.
Dustin Poirier has hinted at his return. He dropped a tweet in which he wrote, “Who do yall want to see me fight next?”
He also tweeted, “There will be blood”
For some time fans were calling him to fight against Tony Ferguson when the lightweight of the both the fighters is seen.

If the fight becomes reality, it will be a big moment for both the fans and UFC. Besides that, it can be said that the fight is just to be official now given Poirier’s prediction/warning will come true. ‘The Diamond’ posted a wide-eyed emoji when a fan shared a split-screen image of the duo.
Adding more to this confirmation, Dustin Poirier retweeted a fan’s post of himself. He captioned the post as, “coming soon…”
Poirier further ensured that he doesn’t go on a multiple losing skid. He must be aware of the fact that he must keep winning to earn big fights.

‘The Diamond‘, though started bad and lost first fight to Danny Castillo, he made a strong comeback. He won his next five fights in a row.
Poirier seems overconfident now as he also claimed readiness for a welterweight fight against Nate Diaz. He has maintained a career progress constantly in both the featherweight and lightweight divisions.
The fight was earlier scheduled for Nate Diaz’s return in 2018 but couldn’t become reality. However, both the fighters have still interest in this fight.
Dustin Poirier has seen a remarkable career with UFC. He has lost only to big names like ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung, Conor McGregor, and the aforementioned Nurmagomedov.
Given his experience and will to fight again, he will know what it takes to beat the very best to claim the top prizes.
