Former NBA star Dwight Howard recently made his T10 league debut and set the stage on fire. He plays for the Taoyuan Leopards and the team shot into the limelight when they roped in Dwight. All eyes were on this match as everyone knows Dwight is trying to make a comeback to the NBA through this league.
Howard’s debut for the team came against a matchup with New Taipei CTBC DEA at the National Taiwan Sport University Arena in Taoyuan City’s Guishan District. Dwight straight away got into action and nailed 38 pts and 25 rebounds. He just played with the opponent’s defense, and the stadium was on its feet. Howard showed his ‘NBA’ skills in Taiwan and attracted much attention. Dwight’s team won against the New Taipei team 120-115.
During the practice sessions, he also looked very much in touch and was seen to have had a good time with his teammates. When Leopards head coach Bobo Liu asked whether Dwight Howard would play in the starting line-up, he stated that if he didn’t allow him to start, people would not let him get out of the stadium. If Dwight keeps giving such power-packed performances, he will indeed be sighted by some NBA team and invest in him.

Dwight Howard entered the 2004 NBA draft and was first selected by the Orlando Magic. He also led the team to the 2009 NBA Finals. In 2012, after eight seasons with Orlando, Howard was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom he spent three separate one-year-stints, winning the NBA championship in 2020. He has also played for the Houston Rockets, the Atlanta Hawks, the Charlotte Hornets, the Washington Wizards and the Philadelphia 76ers.
He was named to the 2006–2008 USA Basketball Men’s Senior National Team program. As the team’s regular starting center, he helped lead the team to a 5–0 record during its pre-World Championship tour and subsequently helped the team win the bronze medal at the 2006 FIBA World Championship.
Howard was on the team which won its first nine games en route to qualifying for the finals and a spot for the 2008 Olympics. He scored 20 points as the USA defeated Argentina to win the gold medal. With such a rich legacy in the game, he was sure to draw many crowds to cheer for him.
