Retired NBA legend Dwyane Wade was one of the most touted players in the league during his playing days. He had one of the best times of his playing career with the Miami Heat franchise alongside NBA superstar LeBron James.

The duo was then accompanied by a third star, Chris Bosch, with their trio named ‘The Big 3’ by the NBA community. Wade recently opened up about his past and offered intriguing insight into James. In a recent interview on “The OGs Show,” Wade reviewed the conditions surrounding the 2010 free agency period.

I was actually leaving Miami at that time because I didn’t think there is nobody out there to get us to that level…I wanted to be part of a team that could win, and for me, that would be my hometown team(Chicago Bulls)…I’m going to Chicago… but I got that call man, I got that call from #6(LeBron James).

Wade was hinting at James in the podcast as he wore the No. 6 jersey during his time with the Heat. The Big 3 were a menace for their opponents during their playing years. They proved to be one of the best trios in NBA history.

The three won two straight titles in 2012 and 2013. They also advanced to the Finals four times in a row. Wade stayed with the Heat until 2016. Later, he decided to play with his hometown, the Chicago Bulls.

In 2017, James and Wade spent a year together with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the former’s home team. Wade eventually made his way back to Miami, where he continued to play until retiring in 2019.

When LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were with the Miami Heat, they were one of the most thrilling pairings. Together, they won numerous titles. James joined the Cleveland Cavaliers after leaving the Heat while Wade’s remarkable career ended because of injuries.

Wade later made the 2023 Hall of Fame class list. Hours before Wade’s HOF induction, his former teammate James showed Wade some love on social media.

Wade was one of the 12 applicants for the Basketball Hall of Fame class of 2023. Gregg Popovich, the current coach of the San Antonio Spurs, and former NBA players Dirk Nowitzki and Tony Parker were also on the list.
