The persona of Jericho’s character seems to be that of a wise wrestling veteran passing on his wisdom to the younger stars. He remains delirious about the responses of those around him and continues to keep up his shtick despite fans expressing their discontentment with it. Viewers pointed out that these character traits highly resembled those of Vince McMahon.
The Ayatollah of Rock and Rollah has had his differences with the billionaire. Thus, taking shots at him wouldn’t be far-fetched. Although fans initially found the character tiresome, the wrestling veteran has done what he does best and won fans over once again. After discovering that the character may be a shadow of the former WWE Chairman, their appreciation for the mind of Y2J became even greater.
