As Philadelphia navigates through a hard time after the devastating medical jet crash in the northeastern part of the city, the Philadelphia Eagles WR AJ Brown has his mind on the city and the little boy who’s now a local hero. The wideout has left a heartfelt message for the boy including a promise to visit him after the Super Bowl.

Trey Howard, a 10-year-old Eagles fan, experienced a terrifying ordeal last week when a jet crashed in Northeast Philadelphia, claiming seven lives and injuring 24 others. The crash occurred near Trey, and he sustained injuries from flying metal debris caused by the impact.

According to his father, Andre Howard Jr., Trey heroically shielded his younger sibling by jumping on top of her to protect her from the debris as the jet went down near their family’s vehicle. The boy suffered head injuries from the metal fragments, requiring emergency surgery at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, as reported by ABC7 Eyewitness News.

The ten-year-old Trey woke up to perplexion over the day and whether he had missed the Super Bowl or not.

He asked me, ‘Daddy, what’s today?’ I was like, ‘Monday.’ ‘OK, wait. We didn’t play yesterday did we?’ ‘No, you didn’t miss the Super Bowl.’

Andre Howard Jr. disclosed

Trey also remained concerned about his sister, asking his dad, “Daddy, did I save my sister?” Andre admitted that made him emotional.

In an X post, the Eagles WR AJ Brown wished the young here a speedy recovery. He also expressed that he’s gearing up on Sunday for him and wishes to visit him with the Super Bowl championship.

Speedy recovery! You are a Hero young man! I’m going to come see you when I get back. Hopefully with some hardware. Playing for you on Sunday my man.

The Philadelphia Eagles who are supposed to play the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday issued a heartfelt message mourning the loss of life and the injuries sustained by many in the vicinity.

In the message, they also extended their gratitude towards the first responders who were quick to the scene for rescue.

The Eagles organization was heartbroken to learn of the tragic loss of life earlier this evening as a result of the plane crash in Northeast Philadelphia. We extend our condolences to the victims and loved ones they leave behind. We are grateful to the first responders for their heroic actions at the scene.

Meanwhile, last week, members of the Philadelphia Eagles, who are set to face the Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, extended a special invitation to the championship game to a fan who survived the New Orleans New Year’s Day terror attack.

According to ABC7, Philadelphia 76ers star Tyrese Maxey visited young Trey Howard in the hospital. The team also had a moment of mourning for the lives lost ahead of the game against the Denver Nuggets. Furthermore, other Philadelphia-based clubs such as the Philadelphia Flyers of NHL, Phillies of MLB, and Union of MLS also issued statements in the wake of the horrific accident.
