In a video from the field, a Philadelphia Eagles security personnel member was caught in a compromising position, checking out Mya Danielle, who’s a renowned beauty influencer and the fiancee of DeVonta Smith. The video featured Danielle in a dazzling gray ensemble with high boots, taking a ramp walk on the field, as posted on her profile.

The personnel walked opposite Danielle and crossed paths, after which he craned his neck to ogle Danielle. And DeVonta Smith wasn’t having any of it. The Philly wide receiver issued a warning of sorts to the guy.

Smith commented, “Aye, security better watch out (laughing emoticons).” The pair hard-launched in June 2023, followed by their first child soon after in October. A year later, Smith proposed to Danielle on New Year’s Eve, and they are currently engaged and planning their nuptials. They also welcomed their second child a few months ago in the offseason.

Angel Reese, who plays for the Chicago Sky, seemed to have understood the security guard. Reese commented “i understand mr security guard,” in appreciation of Mya Danielle’s looks and style.

Danielle was in attendance for the Eagles game against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. The Eagles came back from a huge deficit to win the game and keep their perfect record untarnished. The Birds are among the six teams that are still unbeaten after three weeks of 2025 NFL season.

DeVonta Smith, who’s often touted as one of the best college wideouts, played a huge role in their win, catching 8 times for 60 yards. Smith and Jalen Hurts came clutch in the last minutes, with the former catching a pass from the latter and converting it to a touchdown. The TD put the Eagles in the lead, which they extended by converting the Rams’ late field goal attempt for another touchdown.

For 66-year-old Pat Schmus from Mullica Hill, DeVonta Smith is her favorite player on the team she roots for. And Smith and his fiancee went the extra mile for Schmus, who’s been battling ovarian cancer for a few years now.

In spring 2022, Schmus was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. Despite repeated recurrences, she fought through aggressive chemotherapy and reached remission by spring 2023. Unfortunately, the cancer returned in January 2024. The daughter, Theresa, spoke with The Inquirer and informed that they are once again fighting the battle with chemo and other forms of treatment.

As a way to cheer her mom, Theresa took a suggestion from her roommate, Aidan Hopkins, and messaged Danielle on Instagram with details about her mom and her adoration for DeVonta Smith. Theresa asked for a signed jersey, and after waiting 20 minutes, she got a reply from Danielle asking for sizes and other details.

And she herself drove to the hospital and delivered the gift to Theresa, who then surprised her mom with the jersey. The video Theresa took of her mother’s reaction went viral with over a million views and loads of well wishes from all over Philly and more.

Danielle even commented on the post, urging the senior Schmus to keep fighting. Schmus, who has several Philly items at her house, including an Eagles-inspired mailbox, plans to wear the jersey for the season.

She’s very excited. We decided as a family, she’s going to wear it this season, but we’re going to frame it afterwards. She’s just so thankful because it was such a tough day for her so she was in shock. It just shows how great this city really is and how great the sports culture is. You don’t see this happening anywhere other than Philadelphia.

Theresa told the Inquirer

Bob Costas once remarked that, “the best thing about sports is the sense of community and shared emotion it can create.” The gesture from Mya Danielle and DeVonta Smith was just that, a celebration of the community that rallies behind the athletes and their families.
