(Video) ‘Hostile’ Eagles Fans Threw Beer Cans at 49ers Supporters Entering the Lincoln Financial Field Before Playoff Game
Tailgating can get rough sometimes and it did when a group of Eagles fans threw beer cups and cans at a bunch of 49ers fans prior to the NFC wildcard game at Lincoln Financial Field in Philly.

Philadelphia Eagles’ fans welcomed rival San Francisco 49ers fans by dumping beer cans on them at the tailgate outside of the Lincoln Financial Field. One can cut through the tension like a hot knife through butter.
Tension between rival fan bases is nothing new, especially when one side is backing the defending champions and the other is eager to take their crown. The Niners made it into the playoffs by finishing 12-5 and second in the NFC West, while the Eagles won the East for the second straight season. The wildcard round fixture carried significant stakes. But more importantly, bragging rights were at stake.
As is often the case, battles aren’t just fought on the gridiron but also in the bleachers and even beyond the stadium walls. Fans passionately defend their team’s honor, and the situation can get out of hand.
Prior to kickoff in Philly, fans from both groups exchanged heated words and a few air punches. However, a clip posted on X alleged that the instigator of the skirmish was an unnamed Eagles fan who threw beer cans at a few Niners fans. Luckily, a tall fence kept them apart, preventing the situation from escalating into a full-blown brawl.

😬😬😬
The local Philadelphia police did nothing about it, even though the San Francisco fans were allegedly being harassed.

The Eagles may have won the Super Bowl last year, but they are among the least liked teams from a neutral’s standpoint. Immediately after the clip went viral, X users criticized Philadelphia fans for their unruly behavior.
Eagles fans throwing full beer cans on 49ers fans, including kids. Fuck your city. Fuck your fake ass invented hero. Fuck your worst illiteracy rate in the country. Fuck your entire organization top to bottom. Fuck your punchable coach. Fuck big Dom. Worst fans in all of sports. pic.twitter.com/tBC4aWS8Bf

The Eagles lost the game 23-19. 49ers cornerback Deommodore Lenoir seized the moment to taunt the Eagles’ fans as they quickly emptied the stadium to beat the rush on the road.
Frustrated Nick Sirianni and AJ Brown get in each other’s faces
Despite capping off another 1000-yard season, Brown wasn’t satisfied with the way the regular season went. He has been at odds with head coach Nick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts for not receiving enough targets.

Hurts tossed a few at Brown’s direction early on during Wild Card Night. However, the Pro Bowl wideout dropped not once but twice. Sirianni lost his cool when he saw his top receiver drop a pass for the second time. The two began arguing with each other, which was witnessed by 60,000+ spectators. If the Eagles’ head of security, Dom DiSandro, hadn’t stepped in, the situation might have escalated into something ugly.

Brown finished with just 3 catches for 25 yards. After the game, he left the locker room without speaking to the press.

Sirianni, meanwhile, congratulated his counterpart, Kyle Shanahan, and urged him to win the Super Bowl.
“Go win it all,’ Sirianni told Shanahan.

The loss could prove costly for Sirianni. Some Eagles’ fans are eager to see him let go, just like many others who’ve been dismissed since the regular season ended. Kalshi Sports’ predictions revealed that there is a 36% chance that the Eagles could fire Sirianni within the next few days.
