Nick Sirianni, the Philadelphia Eagles head coach, received an unexpected surprise during the Super Bowl Opening Night on Monday when Chad Johnson made a special appearance. But the highlight of the moment was the former NFL star catching Siranni off guard by planting a kiss on his cheek.
While taking questions from the reporters, the Eagles head coach was momentarily taken aback by a sudden kiss on the side of his head. As he looked, it was the six-time Pro Bowler formerly known as Ochocinco. Although Sirianni was initially shocked by this affectionate gesture, once he recognised it was Johnson, he broke into a big smile and hugged him.
“What’s up baby, you good,” said Johnson after placing the kiss. “How is everything?”
“I was trying to call you. I can never get your number though,” replied Sirianni.

This lighthearted interaction added a touch of humor to an otherwise intense media day, where players and coaches of the Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs prepare for the biggest game of the season, the Super Bowl. Interestingly, this isn’t the first public interaction between Sirianni and Johnson, whose relationship is not rooted in their NFL careers.
At Jason Kelce’s late night show where Philly head coach was beated in the audience and Johnson was a special guest a month ago, the latter offered the former to “call him” if he need “some legs, fresh legs,” suggesting he could still contribute to the Eagles, who are aiming for second Super Bowl trophy, despite being retired.
Nick Sirianni praises Saquon Barkley as key addition ahead of Super Bowl LIX
Coming to the Eagles’ preparation for the grand Super Bowl game against the team that destroyed them two seasons ago at the same stage, head coach Sirianni reflected on the significance of team unity. Compared to Super Bowl LVII, the Eagles’ roster has evolved majorly especially with the addition of Saquon Barkley and Sirianni did not hold back from praising the star running back for it.
From the moment Philly acquired Barkley, they knew they hit a jackpot as every single day since then, the star running back has made great efforts to help lead the team. And now as they stand at the Super Bowl stage, Barkley is the reason they have such an explosive offense.
