The Philadelphia Eagles may have held an undefeated record for most of last season. In the playoffs, they collapsed against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by scoring just 9 points. Head coach Nick Sirianni’s coaching job didn’t come under the red light. Nevertheless, his position came under scrutiny going ahead in the 2024 season.
With the team’s offense on the verge of disintegrating, Sirianni put his words to improve the team into action by bringing in Kellen Moore as the new offensive coordinator. Therefore, from the upcoming 2024 season, Sirianni’s responsibilities include overseeing the whole team and implementing “game management” as the team’s culture.
Nonetheless, the transition was certainly not an easy task for Sirianni, which he admitted himself during a recent conversation with beat writers.
I think at the end of the day, you always have to do what you feel is best for the team, right? And in this case, what was best for the team is that you know, I brought Kellen in, and I let him run with the offense. We share some thoughts and he goes with it. And so that’s what I felt was best for the team... I won’t lie to you that the idea was hard, but I knew with my gut that was best for the team.Nick Sirianni via the team’s official website.
From a positive angle, Sirianni admitted delegation of Kellen Moore has helped him view the team from a “30,000-foot view.” This way, he has a clear idea of how the team strategy coming into action. As such, there is much optimism about the Eagles next season.

While talking about his team, Sirianni shared that the Eagles are headed in the right direction under the equipped coaching staff. After how the season ended last year, he is looking forward to his entire team coming back in great shape in the opening week of the 2024 season.
That's the next step, seeing them all come back in great shape because you can't play with a great detail if you're not in great shape, and seeing them run through the conditioning test and going through that first practice.Nick Sirianni via Press conference
Additionally, he added that while the team is preparing for a comeback in the upcoming season, they are also focused on enjoying the journey, considering it a critical and exciting part for Philly. They have star quarterback Jalen Hurts with great offensive pieces surrounding him. As such, the Eagles will likely push for a return to the AFC Championship Game.
