Ed Kelce was surprised by how much Travis had changed while recording the Christmas album with Jason.

Travis Kelce strayed out of his comfort zone to shoot a Christmas holiday album with brother Jason Kelce last year. The 34-year-old may be an All-Pro tight end but singing, unlike his girlfriend Taylor Swift, is not part of tackling a player and scoring touchdowns on the gridiron.

Travis’s father, Ed Kelce, revealed his son signed up for it on a whim and then realized the performing arts wasn’t exactly his forte but eventually managed to convince himself that he could do it.

He was talking about, ‘These things aren’t in my wheelhouse. This isn’t the kind of stuff I’m really good at… But I’m learning. I’m making mistakes'.
Ed Kelce revealed on the Hidden Pearls podcast

Ed was genuinely impressed by the 3x Super Bowl winner’s maturity but was left speechless after Travis quoted, per Life & Style, “Edison didn’t fail making lightbulbs. He learned how not to make them until he got it right.”

Ed told Travis that he never expected him to quote Thomas Edison. The 8x Pro Bowler genuinely seemed like a changed man after he began dating Taylor Swift.

The Christmas song, on the other hand, took off. Besides the Kelce brothers, it also featured Jason’s former Philadelphia Eagles teammates, Lane Johnson and Jordan Mailata. The song became the eighth most streamed song on Apple Play after its release last year.

Will Taylor Swift feature in Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce’s Christmas Song?

Even though Travis and Taylor had been together for four months before the shoot, traveling around the world for her tour, she did not feature in the Christmas album. Jason Kelce revealed on Today Show in October last year that including the 14-time Grammy winner in one of their videos would be incredible.

Maybe. Not this one, not this time around.
Jason Kelce said

Swift’s appearance will definitely do a world of good for them because her fans are always ready to support her.

For the time being, Travis and Jason are guests at Taylor’s Rhode Island mansion. They aren’t alone; Jason’s wife, Kylie Kelce, along with their three daughters, Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, along with their two kids, were present as well.

This rare group meetup was only possible because Swift recently wrapped up her European leg of the Eras Tour and has a couple of months’ layover until she hits the road once more in October. Until then, she wants to spend time with friends and loved ones. Ed Kelce even revealed that she might also stay at Travis’ $6 million mansion just outside of Kansas City.
