The boxing world is buzzing because of some exciting boxing bouts around the corner. One of which is Terence Crawford vs. Israil Madimov, scheduled for the 3rd of August. Interestingly, ahead of their bout, Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn indulged himself in a short session of trash-talk with the American boxer.

This fight will be Riyadh Season’s first US promotional effort in partnership with Matchroom Boxing. To kick off the fight week, a face-off photoshoot was organized at the BMO Stadium. In a clip shared by Turki Alalshikh, Crawford and Hearn were going back and forth with each other. The conversation started when the American boxer questioned if Hearn could hoop. The Matchroom boss gave a cryptic reply to that.

Oh I can hoop, I'm probably still better than you hooping and everything else... You (Crawford) are very nervous today, your energy is all off... This is going to be your hardest fight...

The trash talk went about for around three minutes. Crawford even accused Hearn of disrespecting former champion Ricky Burns. Both the teams went in for a photoshoot that ultimately resulted in a trash-talking segment. It was fun overall, both team members were having a laugh about it. However, later in the video, Madrimov came in, and both boxers had a face-off there.

It was all in good sport, but the mind games have well and truly started. Madrimov is undefeated in his campaign and has been a 154-pound fighter throughout his career. On the other hand, Terence Crawford began at 135 pounds before moving up and conquering each division along the way. Interestingly, Hearn also believes that this fight will be Crawford’s toughest test.

Eddie Hearn predicts Terence Crawford’s defeat against Israil Madrimov

Terence Crawford is leaping the super welterweight division to face off against WBA champion Israil Madrimov in a highly-anticipated debut at 154 pounds. Despite his impressive track record, esteemed boxing promoter Eddie Hearn has expressed concerns, suggesting that Crawford, known as a pound-for-pound great, could encounter challenges in his new weight class.

Interestingly, both boxers have undefeated records in their professional careers, but they vary widely in terms of experience in the pro ranks. In a recent interview with FightHub TV, the Matchroom boss spoke very highly of Madrimov. He expressed confidence in the Uzbek champion’s ability to potentially pull off a major upset on August 3rd.

I've got to say, and I really mean this, I've got bad, bad feelings for Terence Crawford against Israil Madrimov... He is fighting the biggest puncher he's ever faced on August 3rd... I've got a really sneaky feeling for my guy on August 3rd, I really have. I think it's a really tough fight

The highly anticipated clash is all set for the coming weekend. Now it remains to be seen whether Madrimov will stand up to his promoter’s expectations, or will Crawford open his 154 pounds account with a win. However, given if Crawford wins the bout, it remains to be seen if Canelo Alvarez will be his next opponent, as the American has clearly stated his wish to fight the Mexican.
