Ryan Garcia recently claimed Eddie Hearn was responsible for his multiple drug test failures after April 20th. The test results caught the boxing world off guard, and several people have been debating his innocence. As such, Garcia’s rival, Gervonta Davis, also believes that Hearn sabotaged his drug results. However, the promoter finds this notion absurd and recently spoke about it.
Recently, Matchroom Boxing’s promoter was seen having an interaction with Garcia. This happened when they were in Saudi Arabia to watch the Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk fight. Before this, KingRy had stated that he would punch Hearn if he ever saw him in public. However, this did not happen, and Hearn revealed that when they met, Garcia tried to end their beef. As such, Hearn recalled the conversation during an interview on iFL TV.

Garcia apparently came straight towards Hearn at the VIP lounge and said that he wanted to end their beef. The promoter was okay with this and was not offended by Garcia threatening to punch him. However, Hearn reflected on how Garcia has been claiming that he was behind his positive test result.
The promoter stated that it was a ridiculous notion to boldly proclaim, but Ryan Garcia maintained that he was set up. Hearn then stated that the young boxer is frustrated because of his situation, which is causing him to say these things. Furthermore, he remarked how the baseless accusation affects his image in the public and in the boxing world.
Henry Garcia says Ryan Garcia was not in shape
Garcia’s father said his son was in the worst shape of his life at the time of the win over Haney in April. He showed more muscle than ever before and even weighed in at 160 pounds during the fight. Subsequently, he even managed to stun Haney with three straight knockdowns.
In an interview with former WBC Welterweight Champion, Shane Mosley, Henry Garcia conceded that his son wasn’t at his peak during the training camp for the Haney fight. Furthermore, he cited his victory over Oscar Duarte as a time when Garcia was more focused and in shape. In addition, Henry mentioned that his son was having several problems.
This was quite clear from his pre-fight antics, where he even mentioned how he drank every day. Hence, Garcia’s father stated that he was having a hard time trying to stay in the game. Hence, he was not ready to fight, which caused him to go all out to get a KO.
