Manchester City have reportedly agreed on a transfer for their first-choice goalkeeper Ederson, who has received some gigantic offers to move to the Saudi PL. Both Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal are among the teams that have made huge offers for the Brazilian.
30-year-old Ederson joined Manchester City in 2017, from Benfica for a massive transfer fee of £35 million. The Brazilian quickly became the club’s main goalkeeper, taking over from Claudio Bravo. To date, he has made 332 appearances for the Citizens and has won 17 titles, including six Premier League titles, two FA Cups, and one UCL. Now in his eighth year at the club, Ederson has expressed a desire to leave in order to start a new chapter.
Al-Nassr has reportedly tabled a two-year contract worth a staggering €60 million for the Brazilian international. Seeking a new goalkeeper, the Saudi club is parting ways with David Ospina, whose contract is nearing its end. Additionally, Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Manchester City might elevate Stefan Ortega to the position of first-choice keeper. Although Ederson’s contract with City has two years remaining, he is currently in active talks about moving to the Middle East.
??? Manchester City are aware of Ederson in talks with Saudi Pro League clubs since May and keep their position: Ederson can leave, in case he wants to.

Furthermore, Romano added that the EPL champions have also green-lit the player’s transfer. Replacing a goalkeeper of Ederson’s quality will be tough, so City might consider Gianluigi Donnarumma or Mike Maignan, in case Ortega fails to live up.
Manchester City to have a busy summer transfer window, after the end of the ongoing international break
The upcoming summer transfer window is anticipated to be eventful, with Kylian Mbappe’s long-awaited move to Real Madrid already making headlines. Manchester City are also expected to be active this summer once the international break concludes.
Following their fourth straight EPL triumph, the Citizens are now expected to kick-start the new season with a much improved squad. Although they previously expressed interest in signing young Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite, no discussions have taken place regarding this. Meanwhile, the club has agreed to bring in Brazilian winger Savio from their City Group affiliate, Girona.
It will be intriguing to see who else Manchester City signs, but there could be a notable number of departures. Among the names are Ederson and Sergio Gomez.
