WWE’s first PPV of 2021, Royal Rumble was recently concluded. Edge emerged victorious in the Men’s Royal Rumble match, and earned a spot on the main-event of Wrestlemania. This year’s Rumble, just like all the years, was filled with multiple surprise appearances.

But the one appearance that got the WWE Universe most excited was of Christian. The Rated-R Superstar recently opened up about his happiness on his best-friend making an in-ring return. Christian was forced to retire due to concussion-related injuries. But now, according to Edge, Christian can go out on his own terms.

Christian lasted 18 minutes inside the ring, and was among the final four wrestlers. He was later eliminated by Seth Rollins. But fans loved his performance, as this was Christians first wrestling match in a really long time.

The Rumble was one of those instances where, when Christian was coming down the ramp, I was so happy for him. I was so proud of him and proud of the work he put in and the grind and struggle to get cleared and be able to do this again. Similar to me, he can end it on his terms.”

Both Christian and Edge were forced into retirement due to their injuries. But both worked hard and got fit enough to make a return to WWE. Edge even claimed that both of them making a WWE return was nothing less than an amazing dream.
