Oakland Athletics pitcher Austin Adams managed to enrage the whole New York Mets fan base and even the players on Tuesday. He imitated their signature ‘OMG’ celebration move as he shouted towards the dugout.

The Mets take pride in their ‘OMG’ celebration, and imitating the move riled up the players, especially pitcher Edwin Diaz. Diaz warned Adams not to feel bad about whatever they do to him in the next few days after his taunt.

He crossed a line because that’s something we do when we hit a homer or something. He (can) do it always, that’s fine. But, he can’t get mad if we do something to him the next couple of days.

However, despite the commotion, Austin Adams did not seem bothered by all the boos he was getting. He even said, “I got out of a huge jam that helped the team,” in the A’s vs. Mets game.

“You f***ing DFA me?”Austin Adams gets revenge on Mets for trade to A’s

Pitcher Austin Adams was part of the NY Mets until November 2023. He later got signed off to the Athletics before the 2024 regular season began. It seems like the recent chaos caused by Adams may have been a part of his revenge on the Mets for sending him to the A’s right before the opening season.

After taunting the NY Mets, he was even seen shouting obscenities while gesturing toward the crowd and the dugout. He was caught yelling,

You guys are f***ing s****. You f***ing DFA me? Shut the f**k up.

On the other hand, Joyboy Media on X, caught him saying, “f*** outta here you piece of sh*t.” Adams is known for his provoking behavior. He himself noted that it’s not that he does it consciously, but “I pitch on emotion.”

Mets outfielder Jesse Winker on the other hand seemed to have gotten a little revenge on Adams for provoking them. After blasting off a shot, Winker was seen gesturing a slap in the air which was later appreciated by both Francisco Lindor and Carlos Mendoza. They said his clapback set the tone for the night’s game.
