Egyptian international and Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush bid farewell to the club’s fans, ahead of his potential move to Manchester City. The 25-year-old was applauded by fans, following the club’s 2-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester City have reportedly finalized a deal to sign Omar Marmoush, making it their third signing this month. They struck a deal worth a staggering £68 million for the talented forward. He would be a great addition to Pep Guardiola’s side, who have dropped to 6th position on the EPL table, and would also be a replacement for former star Julian Alvarez, as well as a backup for misfiring Erling Haaland.

The 25-year-old is in brilliant form this season, having notched up 33 goal contributions in 26 matches. Eintracht Frankfurt released an official statement on social media, confirming his departure, as well as confirming his absence from their squad against Dortmund. The ex-Wolfsburg star watched on from the stands, as Hugo Ekitike and Oscar Hojlund guided the club to an impressive 2-0 win.

At full-time whistle, City-bound Omar Marmoush was invited onto the pitch to bid farewell to fans in the stadium. He joined in the celebrations, and was pushed by his teammates to the front to receive an ovation from the crowd. He pumped his chest and lifted his arms up towards the crowd. The Egyptian forward looked emotional and had his head in his hands, as the Frankfurt players embraced him.

Frankfurt would now have to turn towards the transfer market to look for his replacement. Mainz forward Jonathan Burkardt has emerged as a potential option. Meanwhile, Omar Marmoush’s deal would take Manchester City’s winter transfer spending to over £160 million.

Manchester City keen on signing Juventus star Andrea Cambiaso, making him their fourth January buy

Manchester City are interested in signing Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso in the ongoing January transfer window. The 24-year-old Italian defender, known for his versatility, can play both as a left-back as well as a right-back.

Negotiations between both the clubs are yet to begin. Cambiaso would be a perfect replacement for veteran Manchester City right-back Kyle Walker. The Englishman looks set to depart the EPL, in order to join AC Milan. Juventus would definitely demand a massive fee for the Italian international. He has scored twice and provided an assist in 25 matches this season.

Andrea Cambiaso had joined Juventus from Genoa back in 2022, after coming through their youth ranks. He became a first-team regular at the club, and was also called up to play for the Italian national team at the Euros, last year.
